New patients
We welcome new patients at Silver Birches, payment is required at their initial appointment. Although we do prefer payment on the day for further treatment, payment arrangements can be made at reception.

Emergency Appointments
We have emergency appointments every day for people with toothache, you need to ring at 8:30am any morning and we do our best to get you in to see a dentist that afternoon. Dentists are on call for emergency dental treatment in the weekends their contact details can be found on the South Canterbury Dentist Facebook page or by contacting After hours Doctor or A&E at the hospital on (03) 687 2100.
Work & Income
We provide emergency dental treatment for WINZ clients. Please call us for details on how to access this treatment.
ACC
We are a registered provider for ACC. It is important to register any dental or facial injury with ACC and to have the appropriate treatment done. Co-payment for treatment is required.
Students
The government provides free routine dental treatment for adolescents up to the age of 18. We encourage these young adults to visit us annually for their examination and any treatment needed.
